Even though TinyVM's primary purpose is to allow programming of Java code for the Lego Mindstorms^TM RCX, it is possible to run programs written in other languages on top of it.

Robert Tolksdorf has compiled a list of languages for the Java VM . Some of these may work with TinyVM. Some may not. Any problems will probably be due to the lack of certain APIs.

At least one language besides Java is known to work with TinyVM:

• NetRexx.- According to Mike Cowlishaw, it's a "human-oriented programming language."
